For years writing took 2nd place to my 'real work'; 33 years as a teacher and 6 years as an antiques dealer. Finally, writing is what I do and romance is what I love.\r\nWhile teaching, I wrote contemporary romance based in rural NZ. When I finally quit teaching I wrote two epic time travel type books, ancient stories whose happy endings are in the present day. I call these 'stories from my soul'.\r\nNow I write historicals set in the regency era. There is usually a sexy edge, verging on erotica, so I’ve labeled them ‘romantica’.\r\nThe characters in my head are finally getting their wish, their stories told.\r\n
